  Day 1. ANTANANARIVO

Depending on your booking date, a warm reception and a nice meeting will be reserved for you at Antananarivo airport. Transfer to your hotel to prepare for the next day’s adventure!

  Day 2. ANTANANARIVO – MADAGASCAR EXOTIC – ANDASIBE 

Departure to visit the Peyrieras reserve “Madagascar Exotic” 75 km from Antananarivo. Many species are endemic and easy to observe: chameleons, butterflies, insects, lemurs, turtles, crocodiles… An appointment full of treats for nature lovers.

Continuation to Andasibe. Installation at your hotel to prepare for the night visit.

  Day 3. MANTADIA NATIONAL PARK

The day will be dedicated to the visit of Andasibe Mantadia Park. It is a dense evergreen humid forest where amphibian, reptile and lemur species have chosen habitat. It is also home to a variety of endemic flora that make up a natural forest panorama rich in biodiversity.

Once the visit is over, rest of the day free.

  Day 4. VOIMMA PARK

The day will be dedicated to the visit and discovery of the VOIMMA village park “Vondron’olona Ifotony Mitia sy Miaro ny Ala”: local populations loving and protecting the forest.  The name says a lot about the reserve which is managed by the villagers who collect entrance fees for social works and above all to raise awareness among the local people about forest conservation and ecotourism for sustainable development.

The reserve is easily accessible with flat and well laid out paths, it is also a paradise for different endemic species such as lemurs (Indri, sifaka, avahi…), chameleons (Furcifer willsii, Calumma parsonii cristifer, Calumma nasutum, Calumma brevicorne…), the satanic leaf gecko (Uroplatus phantasticus), countless frogs (Boophis pyrrhus, vividis, and madagascarensis) and unusual insects such as the giraffe beetle (Trachelophorus giraffa).

Once the visit is over, you could contribute directly to this beautiful preservation initiative by making a small stop in the shop at the park exit.

  Day 5. VAKÔNA PRIVATE RESERVE

The visit of the Vakôna Forest Lodge Private Reserve is done in a half day to discover an eucalyptus and primary forest plantation, a small museum, a crocodile lake, reptiles and batraciens, endemic plants and a mini-forest lemur park in the form of several islets for an unforgettable encounter with these prosimians.

After this visit, rest of the day free. However, different activities will be proposed by your hotel.

  Day 6. ANDASIBE – TAMATAVE – MAHAMBO

A day of National 2 discovery to reach Tamatave city. Then in the afternoon, on the way to Mahambo city where the pier is located to reach the island of Sainte Marie «Nosy Boraha».

Arrival in Mahambo, relaxation at your hotel.

  Day 7. MAHAMBO – SAINTE MARIE 

After a rest night, transfer by boat to Sainte Marie island (3 hours). This island is surrounded by several kilometers of authentic sandy beach, preserved and exotic.

Arrival in Sainte Marie, installation at your hotel and rest of the day free.

  Day 8 and 9. SAINTE MARIE ISLAND

Free activities during these two days on Sainte Marie island. But different activities will be proposed by your hotel according to your wishes. You can visit the first Catholic Church in Madagascar, the pirates’ cemetery, the natural swimming pool… You can also discover the specificity of the island through the mangroves, explore the bay of Ampanihy or escape to the beautiful island of Iles aux Nattes. Note that you can admire the beauty of the Humpback Whales that come to mate and give birth in these warm waters from July to September.

  Day 10. SAINTE MARIE – ANTANANARIVO

According to the domestic flight schedule, transfer to Sainte Marie airport to fly to the Capital.

Depending on the international return flight schedule, possible small detour to the artisanal market located on the dyke road to finish your trip in Madagascar.
